We invite you to explore the fascinating world of geoinformatics and remote sensing on the new Master's program, "Remote Sensing and Geo Informatics," offered by the renowned Faculty of Geodesy, Mining, and Environmental Engineering at AGH University of Science and Technology! Individuals interested in acquiring advanced knowledge and skills in spatial data analysis will find an excellent opportunity here.
This four-semester program, conducted entirely in English, is designed as an ideal complement for graduates of bachelor's or engineering studies. It focuses on utilizing the latest remote sensing and geoinformatics technologies for data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation from various sources such as satellites, aerial platforms, drones, LIDAR scanners, and thermal cameras.
Courses within the "Remote Sensing and Geo Informatics" program provide advanced knowledge in remote sensing and introduce students to the latest tools and techniques for image processing, machine learning, and geospatial data analysis. Students have the opportunity to develop skills in programming, 3D modeling, data visualization, and geospatial information management. The teaching process adopts a modern approach, emphasizing large project-based blocks, enabling practical application of acquired knowledge. Traditional lectures are minimized, with the majority of classes conducted through workshops and group work.
The "Remote Sensing and Geo Informatics" master's program opens up diverse employment opportunities in sectors such as environmental protection, spatial planning, scientific research, crisis management, urban planning, agriculture, energy, transportation, and many others. Graduates will be able to apply their knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems related to spatial data analysis and make informed decisions.
The application deadline for the master's program is July 17th. Additional information can be found on the website.
We encourage you to apply for the program and discover the fantastic possibilities offered by geoinformatics and remote sensing at AGH University of Science and Technology!
